Recycle, recycle! So remember my wine cork holder DIY (check it out right here)? Well, I decided to recycle my corks and use them as completely different place card. These sailboat place cards are spin off of my cork rafts which I just loved! Now we get to add even more nautical flare to the table. Here’s a quick DIY on how to make your own sail boats!
What you’ll need per boat is a toothpick, one wine cork (see here to for how to prep your wine cork), and a name tag (about one and half inches by one inch).
Next, assemble your sailboat by inserting the toothpick into the slit within the cork. Create crisscross incisions on the top and bottom of your name card and slide the cork through each end.
You can also append your name card to tumblers and wine glasses at each place setting. Simply, flip the cork around and attach it to the tumbler by sliding the cork onto the rim. You’ll want to take your sail and puncture it into the flattened side of the cork. I used our Egyptian Blue handmade tumblers to do the trick and to complete the seaside look!
