Roasted Orange Whiskey Cocktail

Beware: this is not your ordinary orange whiskey sour. The term orange is taken to another level. Just think: roasted oranges squeeze over your favorite whiskey. Inspired by the folks at Jerry James Stone, this delicious cocktail is easy to make.

Here’s what you will need:


1 orange (halved)

2 ounces of rye whiskey

dash of orange bitters

1 sprig of rosemary

Start out by heating your oven to 350. Half your oranges and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Use the last 5 minutes to broil the oranges.

Add ice, a dash of bitters, whiskey and the juice from your roasted oranges to your cocktail shaker. Then shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
