This summer’s successful Forget Me Not Gala and silent auction event raised 1.3 million dollars. The money will go towards free programs, services and research conducted by the New York City Chapter Alzheimer’s Association .
The June 3rd event featured a star-studded crew, which included emcee Victor Garber and attendees like Brooke Shields and Tony Award Winner and advocate of the Alzheimer’s Association David Thyde Pierce. The New York City Chapter presented the Chapter’s Leadership Award to Christian G. Heilmann, Chief Fiduciary Executive at the Bank of America Private Wealth Management. He was honored for his involvement in the cause and for his leadership in developing the firm’s ElderCare Program. The event also honored many esteemed members within the research and medical fields.
During the event attendees enjoyed a silent auction, live auction and dancing to Valerie Romanoff’s Starlight Orchestra. Martinka Crystal was among the silent auction donors and auctioned off three of its popular crystal stemware sets.
