This holiday season spruce up your place settings with handcrafted name cards adorned with fresh evergreen leaves. These elegant name tags will add beauty to your presentation and not to mention a pleasant aroma. Make your own with a few quick steps!
First, you’ll need to put together your guest list and print off each name on a piece of white stock. I used a beautiful bright white 80 lb text stock and printed eight up on a letter size sheet. If you have good hand writing you may choose to write your attendees names directly on the stock using a thin tip sharpie pen.
Next, I picked some fresh evergreen leaves from the back of my Christmas tree for my name card adornments. These will then be threaded through each name card.
The best way to thread each small branch through the name card is to used an exact-o knife to create a crisscross incision. Also, make sure prior to threading the evergreen through the card, that you take off a few pine needles from each side, so you can easily slide each side through the incision.
Once you thread one side in, it should look something like this…
Finally, make sure to do the same with the other side. Your finally piece should look a little something like this…
Now repeat each step for every guest on your list, and place each name card on a plate. Your guests will love this creative seating chart!
